Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with your peers in Development and Program Management in order to design components that will enrich the user’s Korean experience and reflect their cultural preferences.
- Brand new linguistic service platform that allows applications to invoke plug-ins that process text and enrich the user’s experience by providing translation, URL-mapping and dictionary services.
- Next generation of globalization APIs in both Win32 and .NET that allow access to locale data, sorting, calendars and encoding algorithms.
- Write detailed test plans that focus on assuring the quality across multiple aspects (functionality, reliability, performance, etc.) of the components by outlining key scenarios and cases that define the user’s experience.
- Code test applications in managed and native code using existing frameworks in order to automate the test scenarios and cases outlined in the test plan.
- Execute and analyze the results of the automated test applications using test harnesses across different milestones in order to assure the quality of the components.
- Participate in team-wide efforts to ensure better quality in the processes and tools used by the testing team.
- Identify test areas that requires deep knowledge of language, and work closely with WI and feature teams to design test cases such as Font/rendering, IME, Search, Sorting, Keyboard, Tablet and so on.

Qualification:
- College degree, preferably in Computer Science or related technical discipline, is required.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in software development, testing, and developing automated tests.
- A MS in Computer Science and experience with globalization concepts (like encoding, locale awareness) are definite pluses.
- Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-group skills, technical passion and drive, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
- Technical qualifications should include expertise in C# and/or C++, experience with Win32 APIs and .NET framework, experience in Object-Oriented programming, and a demonstrated experience in software testing.
